The play "Craftsmen" turns the story of the two woodcarvers Naiden and Zhivko and their rivalry for Milkana's heart into a drama of ancient proportions. Beauty as inspiration and beauty as sacrifice is the knot of conflict in this classic work by Racho Stoyanov. In order for the viewer to face the eternal Bulgarian question - is blood necessarily the glue of Bulgarian construction; is it necessary that the iconostasis of the man and the creator is raised by the women's tears and pain.
The play "Craftsmen" is among the examples of Bulgarian dramaturgy, combining in itself the romantic memory of the Bulgarian Renaissance and the modern collisions of our national character.
