The Island of the Feathered

The comical pre-election passions in the Oval Office of the American President dominate the audience in the performance of Drama Theater - Plovdiv "The Island of Feathers" by David Mamet. The play of the living American classic is a merciless and brilliant political satire of the mechanisms by which the democratic roots of power are destroyed and replaced by media speculation.

For the first time, the play was staged on the Bulgarian stage in 2008, with the actor Atanas Atanasov playing the role of the American president. In the performance of the Drama Theater-Plovdiv, the beloved actor and teacher at NATFIZ undertakes a new reading of the work, this time as a director.
In the role of the insanely eccentric president with a crazy hairstyle is Troyan Gogov, in the incredible humorous scenes he is partnered by Todor Darlyanov, Marianna Yotova, Stefan Popov.

The doyen of the troupe, Stefan Popov, plays the role of an Indian chief.
